Crime prevention freebies handed out at coffee morning
Added on 19/08/24
The Bedford, Morison and Cordery Almshouses held a successful resident coffee morning in April where residents were provided with free crime prevention freebies and a Q&A session with their local PCSO's.
Taking place at the meeting room at the Almshouses on Friday 5 April 2024, residents were able to speak to the local PCSO Team about any issues affecting them. The event was organised by PCSO Ruxane Osler and Trustee Hulya Kozan.
Residents were given crime prevention advice, including leaflets on how to keep their homes, possessions and vehicles safe. Free purse bells and chains, mini defender alarms (perfect for carrying in your bag or pocket) and card defenders were also given out.
Trustee Hulya said: "Our recent coffee morning with the local PCSO was a resounding success! It was fantastic to see so many residents, including grandchildren, engage with the police in a relaxed setting. We enjoyed valuable discussions about crime prevention, and the opportunity to build stronger community ties. A big thank you to our PCSOs for taking the time to visit us."
PCSO Ruxane said "we really enjoyed spending time with you all. Many thanks for having us!"
