Join us in honoring Cate, a beloved resident of the Bedford, Morison, and Cordery Almshouses, as she celebrated her 100th birthday.

A Day of Celebration
The Bedford, Morison and Cordery Almshouse residents met for a special party to celebrate the 100th birthday of resident Cate, who has been a resident for over 15 years!  Over 30 people including family and friends turned out in glorious weather on the afternoon of Wednesday 23rd August 2023 to celebrate Cate’s birthday.

Among the guests were Watford MP Dean Russell, former Watford FC and England football legend Luther Blissett OBE and Cllr Rabi Martins.

On behalf of the Trustees, Chair Felicity presented Cate with a card and a beautiful bouquet of flowers, kindly donated by florist “Lilac and Willow” of Battlers Green Farm, Radlett. Food and drink was provided by the Trustees and lots of fun was had by all to celebrate this special birthday milestone.

Cate has been a cherished member of our almshouse community for over 15 years. Her warmth, kindness, and enduring spirit have enriched the lives of everyone around her.

Fellow residents and Trustees were delighted to celebrate Cate's birthday with her nearest and dearest, some flown all the way from Ireland.
